The 60th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI 2026) will take place at NOVA Medical School, from 3 to 5 June, under the theme “Research in Action: Building Healthier Futures”. The scientific programme will feature symposia across seven major topics, including Mitochondria: physiology and pathology, Cardiovascular and renal, Endocrinology, Metabolism & Liver, Neuroscience, Rheumatology, Women’s Health, and Clinical and Molecular Oncology.

From the Glycoimmunology Research Lab, Paula Videira is co-organiser of this topic, chairing Session 1: “Tumor Immunology and Cancer Microenvironment”, and participating as an invited speaker in Session 2: “Novel therapeutic targets in clinical oncology”, where she will present the talk “Targeting Carbohydrates to Drive Innovation in Cell-Based Therapies”.
