Following the outstanding success of our inaugural edition, the UCIBIO BRIDGE PhD Day returns for an exciting two-day meeting on 23 and 24 April 2026.

Founded by our doctoral students to connect the Lisbon and Porto hubs and consolidate the UCIBIO community, BRIDGE (Bridging Research Initiatives for Doctoral Student Group Empowerment) operates on a simple premise: a connected community creates better-prepared, more resilient scientists. Building on the momentum of last year's event, which brought together nearly 60 participants, the organising committee has prepared an exceptional programme featuring inspiring keynotes, a hands-on workshop, and dynamic networking activities designed to boost academic and professional development while building lasting connections.

We wish all enrolled PhD students a highly fruitful meeting, and we look forward to the continued success of an initiative created by and for our students!
